Are you a passionate Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Scientist ready to innovate and make an impact? Saint Gobain Interior Solutions is looking for a dynamic Scientist/Project Leader to join our Product Development team at our East Leake site in Loughborough.
This full-time position offers a flexible work schedule (Mon-Fri, 36.25 hours/week) and some required travel.

- Innovative Projects: Engage in cutting-edge business change projects, developing and testing plasterboards, new systems, and solutions. You'll be at the forefront of introducing improved subsystems, from metal structures with insulation to various wall and ceiling assemblies.

- Customer Interaction: Provide expert support to our customers by offering tested and reliable solutions. You'll be signing off on technical specifications, ensuring materials meet stringent requirements, and assisting in problem-solving.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of existing systems. Help us uphold our reputation for delivering walls with exceptional fire performance, acoustic, and thermal properties.
What You'll Do:
- Technical Leadership: Manage and support business projects, ensuring the successful implementation of new and existing systems.
- Product Development: Participate in the physical assembly and testing of innovative products.
- Customer Support: Offer expert advice and solutions to customers, ensuring all materials and systems meet required standards.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work alongside diverse teams, contributing to continuous improvement and high standards of performance.
What We're Looking For:
- Educational Background: A degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science.
- Experience with New Product Development- This is ideal but not mandatory
- Preferred Experience: Experience with thermal, acoustic, and fire properties of materials is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to innovation.
