Fantastic Opportunity for a Roofer - Work with a Leading UK Council in Leicester!
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Roofer to join one of the UK's leading and most reputable councils, covering the Leicester region. This role offers great experience in domestic housing association properties, ensuring homes are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Roofer, you will be responsible for carrying out reactive and planned maintenance on domestic roofs, ensuring homes are safe and well-maintained.
Your duties will include repairing and replacing slates, tiles, and flat roofing materials, as well as maintaining and installing guttering, soffits, and fascias. You will also handle leadwork, flashing repairs, and other general roofing tasks while ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Working as part of a skilled maintenance team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality repairs and services to housing association properties across the Leicester region.
Job Details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Location: Leicester and surrounding areas
- Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday
- Duration: Ongoing - Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week. There is possibility of going temp to perm after 13 weeks
- Pay Rate: 18 per hour
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Roofer in domestic repairs
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Roofing (preferred but not essential)
- Full UK manual driving license
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
