Progress Teachersare working closely with a local mainstream Secondary School to appoint adedicated and talentedArt and Design Teacherto join theirdynamic department and support pupils across KS3 and KS4 to make positive progress.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Curriculum Development:Design and implement engaging and innovative art and design curriculum that aligns with national standards and encourages students' artistic expression.
- Classroom Instruction:Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can explore various art mediums and techniques, developing their skills and understanding of artistic principles.
- Assessment and Feedback:Evaluate students' work, provide constructive feedback, and track their progress.
- Professional Development:Stay abreast of current trends in art and design education, participate in professional development opportunities, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the department.
- Classroom Management:Maintain a well-organised and stimulating learning environment, managing behaviour effectively and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Teaching Qualifications:Holding a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) with QTS is highly advantageous. However, experienced non-qualified teachers will also be considered for the role.
- Educational Background:Possess a degree in Art, Design, or a related field, showcasing a deep understanding of artistic concepts and techniques.
- Teaching Experience:Experience teaching Art and Design at the secondary level, demonstrating a track record of student achievement and engagement is highly advantageous, however, strong ECTs will also be considered for the role.
- Passion for Inclusive Education:Demonstrate a genuine passion for education, a commitment to student success, and the ability to inspire and motivate all learners.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service OR willingness to obtain
