Job Title: Service Operations Manager

Location: Loughborough, LE11

Working Hours: 37 Hours per week

Shift Pattern: Mon – Thurs 8:30-5 Fri 8:30-4:30

Salary: 35k to 40k (DOE)

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • The Service Operations Manager should oversee the implementation of the site Health & Safety Policy, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Always maintain confidentiality and update all relevant risk assessments for the Works function.
  • Work closely with applicator companies to ensure the Customer Service function meets expectations.
  • Ensure new staff are trained to perform tasks satisfactorily and conduct staff appraisals at least annually.
  • The Service Operations Manager should be able manage all aspects of the budget, controlling associated costs proactively.
  • Maintain and update the Bill of Materials accurately.
  • Develop and maintain a routine maintenance program.
  • Ensure operations comply with all legislative and environmental standards, including the Pollution Prevention and Control Act.
  • Ensure the company’s EQMS requirements are maintained and participate in Quality Audits (BSI and BRE) as needed.
  • As a Service Operations Manager should cover duties of the Customer Service Manager during absences.
  • Proactively manage the Works function to respond to current and future market demands.
  • Respond to specific instructions and projects as directed by the Logistics Director.

The Service Operations Manager should be qualified in the below:

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in Sage 200
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Strong leadership and staff management abilities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively
