JM Workforce Servicesare currently working with a well-respected and emerging Children's Social Care provider to recruit a Team Leader / Senior Residential Support Worker for a Children's home provider.
Role Overview:We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader / Senior Residential Support Worker to lead shifts and ensure the highest standards of care for children in a residential setting. The role involves planning and managing shifts, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children, and providing leadership and support to the care team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and lead shifts, ensuring children are kept safe and engaged.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children in our care at all times.
- Be flexible, consistent, reflective, and creative in your engagement with the young people.
- Conduct regular key working sessions with the young people.
- Work flexibly, including office hours, early mornings, late nights, regular weekends, and bank holidays.
- Ensure shifts are planned with Residential Support Workers.
- Manage all risks in line with company policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with the team regarding daily plans.
- Provide reports and documentation reflecting the progress of the young people using paperless systems.
- Review the young people's care plans and other associated documentation.
- Undertake an in-depth quality and bespoke training package.
- Attend staff meetings and proactively develop and improve the service model.
- Act as an advocate for the young people while using a positive parenting model.
- Work with young people using positive support strategies, including de-escalation tools and techniques taught through in-house training (PRICE).
Job Requirements:
- Level 3/4 in Residential Childcare (Essential)
- Full UK Driving License
- Clean DBS
- Commitment to ongoing professional development to support the needs of our young people.
- Clear passion and desire to support children and young people.
- Active member of a progressive and committed team.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary -£12.00 - £15.00 per hour DOE, plus sleep-in allowance
