We are working with aa specialist independent school providing tailored education, residential care, and therapy for young people aged 8-18 with SEMH needs, ASD, or related conditions within Leicestershire.

We are working closely with them to secure several dedicated and resourceful Engage Instructors to deliver vocational and academic courses, including GCSE-level Maths and English, while providing offsite support for pupils in alternative provisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction for vocational and academic courses under the guidance of the Vocational Plus Coordinator.
  • Support students' personal development, achievement, and integration.
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and multi-agency teams.
  • Provide coaching and supervision for pupils attending offsite provisions.
  • Prepare and deliver individualised educational materials and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of pupils in all activities.


About You

  • Experience working with children and young people.
  • Understanding of SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Ability to build relationships with challenging pupils.
  • Awareness of mental health needs in children and young people.
  • Strong initiative and organizational skills.
  • Access to a car is required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
