We are seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a SEN unit based within a mainstream school, making a positive impact in the lives of young learners. This position will be based near Loughborough, Leicestershire.

Based within a SEN unit within a mainstream school, you will be dedicated to helping children with special educational needs thrive in a nurturing, understanding, and dynamic setting. With a focus on individual development, we aim to create a space where every child can succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that support both academic and personal growth for Year 2 SEN students.
* Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet specific learning and developmental goals.
* Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and confidence.
* Work closely with SEN support staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent support for students.
* Use a range of teaching strategies and resources tailored to each child's unique needs.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in primary school settings.
* Proven experience working with SEN students, ideally within a Year 2 or primary school setting.
* Strong knowledge of SEN teaching methods, including behavior management and sensory integration techniques.
* Ability to build rapport and foster a safe, welcoming, and productive classroom environment.
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a team.
Desirable
* Additional SEN qualifications or training, such as ASD or ADHD specializations.
* Knowledge of assistive technology and alternative communication methods.
