As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse educational needs, fostering an inclusive learning environment that nurtures growth, independence, and confidence. This role involves working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other learning and developmental challenges.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement tailored learning plans that meet individual students' needs and support progress.
* Provide a supportive and positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and confidence.
* Collaborate with teaching assistants, SEN specialists, and parents to track and support students' progress.
* Adapt teaching methods to address each student's unique learning style and requirements.
* Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on SEN teaching best practices.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent SEN teaching qualification.
* Proven experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally within an educational setting.
* Strong understanding of SEN-specific strategies, resources, and teaching methods.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
* A commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
