As an SEN Teacher for EYFS/Reception, you will:
* Work with young learners in a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
* Develop, adapt, and implement creative learning strategies that address diverse SEN needs.
* Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to support the holistic development of each child.
* Foster a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning atmosphere.
* Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and external stakeholders to monitor progress and modify support where needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum.
* Assess individual learning needs and provide additional support and intervention as required.
* Utilize various resources and strategies to aid children's sensory, emotional, and educational development.
* Track, monitor, and record the progress of each child, making adaptations as necessary.
* Engage with external SEN specialists to enhance each child's experience.
Essential Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in an SEN or early years teaching role.
* In-depth knowledge of SEN strategies, particularly within an EYFS/Reception context.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to teaching.
Desirable:
* SEN-specific qualifications or training.
* Familiarity with Loughborough's SEN and early years resources and networks.
