About the Role:Are you a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist passionate about empowering vulnerable adults to achieve their full potential? We have an exciting opportunity in Loughborough for a skilled professional to join our multidisciplinary team.
As part of this role, you will:
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of vulnerable adults under your care.
- Manage a personal clinical caseload, including assessment, differential diagnosis, treatment planning, interventions, and evaluating outcomes.
- Take a lead in reviewing and discharging service users with a focus on individual care plans.
- Maintain high professional standards and adhere to group policies with support from your line manager.
- Employ evidence-based practices and outcome measures to demonstrate clinical effectiveness.
- Refer service users to additional services where appropriate, ensuring all necessary consents are obtained.
- Deliver and lead group care programmes in collaboration with other therapists or rehabilitation assistants.
- Collect and submit caseload statistics promptly to aid service development.
- Attend case conferences and annual reviews to provide support to service users and their families.
- Maintain comprehensive clinical records and reports in line with national and local standards.
- Contribute to the development of speech and language therapy services within the organisation.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to engage effectively with service users, carers, and professionals.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
