Rural Surveyor - Loughborough - £35k basic plus bonus (Salary Negotiable dependent on experience)

My client is a leading firm of Chartered Surveyors, Valuers and Estate Agents with regional offices across the Midland Counties and Cotswolds. With roots dating back over 150 years, they have extensive local knowledge and business experience. The company has strong relationships with local professional firms and plays a pivotal role in the communities that it serves.

They are seeking a full time RICS qualified Rural Chartered Surveyor with ideally at least 2 years PQE but will consider recently qualified. The successful candidate will take a leading role on existing and new projects in a client facing role including existing Estate Management clients. They will work with the other members of the Rural Team, to develop and promote the services offered by the company. Registered Valuer and FAAV preferred, but not essential.

This role is to support an expanding Rural Department in all aspects of professional work including, but not limited to:-

• Estate and Property Management

• Diversification and Planning

• Valuations, Taxation and Succession planning

• Landlord and Tenant, preparation of Farm Business Tenancies, Grazing Licences and Contract Farming Agreements

• Advising clients on Agri-environmental Schemes and Grants

• Land and Property Sales, and Acquisitions

• Utility and Infrastructure Compensation Claims

• Renewable energy The friendly rural team act for institutional and private clients across the East Midlands.

Key Requirements:-

• RICS qualified Rural Chartered Surveyor with ideally, at least, 2 years PQE

• Registered Valuer and FAAV, preferred, but not essential (support can be given for these qualifications).

• Be commercially astute, understanding the importance of business targets and their impact to the practice

• Have a commitment to providing an excellent standard of client care

• Be IT literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages

• Pro-active and business minded

• Be able to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally

• Full driving licence and access to own vehicle

• Strong organisation skills - able to prioritise own time and workload

• Ability to work well on their own and as part of a Team
