Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Safety
- Lead and motivate a team to uphold the highest health and safety standards.
- Foster a positive and proactive team culture.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Engineering department.
Collaboration & Planning
- Report directly to the Engineering Manager, ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Assist in scheduling preventive maintenance and optimising manufacturing infrastructure efficiency.
Team Development & Process Improvement
- Train and develop engineering teams across multiple shifts.
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to drive cost savings and enhance operational efficiency.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure all working procedures comply with safety regulations and good GMP practices.
- Regularly review and update standards and procedures to maintain best practices.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience leading a diverse engineering team within FMCG or a similar fast-paced environment.
- Strong track record in managing engineering budgets within financial constraints.
- Experience with CCMS systems.
- IOSH certified, with NEBOSH qualification preferable.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Experience as part of a multifunctional management team.
- Competent in report writing, including root cause analysis (RCA) reports.
- Qualified to a high level in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Minimum of three years' experience at management level.
