Vehicle Technician

Vehicle/Workshop Mechanic required to work with a council based in the LE4 region on a temporary business.

My client requires an experienced and professional vehicle maintenance mechanic to carry out vehicle repairs, maintenance and servicing on their fleet of vans and light goods vehicles.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Mechanic to join the workshop team based in Leicester. The workshop provides a light vehicle repair and maintenance service for both the Council's internal fleet.

The successful candidate will work as part of the team to deliver an extensive programme of vehicle maintenance, repair, inspection and examination. They will work to ensure compliance with statutory legislation, DVSA requirements and internal Council policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will be able to work on their own initiative and to strict deadlines; at all times ensuring that a high quality standard of work is delivered. This role is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking local authority who are continually look to expand their commercial fleet business.

Pay Rate: 16.10 p/h, Umbrella, paid weekly
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: LE4
Duration: ASAP - end of February 2025

About You The ideal candidate will have:

* City & Guilds level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair principles, or equivalent

* Full UK Driving Licence

* Experience of working with all aspects of light vehicle maintenance and repair

* Ability to work on own initiative and to meet strict deadlines
