Job Role: WelderLocation: LoughboroughShift: 07:30am to 4:30pm Mon to Thu / 07:30am to 12:30pm on FriPay: £15.00 to £16.50 per hour + overtime

Our Client:
An established manufacturer is looking for a skilled Welder to join their team. In this role you will be involved in the production of steel fabrication projects. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all team tasks are completed on time, to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Weld metal components according to engineering specificationsAble to carry out a flat weld, then set the plant (amps and current) to carry out a vertical up weld.Responsible for carrying out all types of MIG welding to high standards using engineering drawings and jig arrangements.Be able to set the welding, turning on the plant and gas, ready to do a flat weld (AMPs and current)Operate power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal partsDeposit welds that pass both visual and NDE examinationsBe able to read and understand weld symbols on engineering drawings providedAdhering to all she related standards associated with welding, including fume controlInspect finished products for quality and make necessary adjustments or repairsFollow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
The ideal candidate:
Proven experience as a welder or similar role - at least 5 years' experienceProficient in welding techniques, including stick weldingNVQ Level 2/3 in Welding & FabricationCCNSG certificationISO9606-1 qualificationExperience in Overhead, Vertical Up, and Downhand welding techniques (PF, PA, P8 + PD)Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurementsFamiliarity with power tools, hand tools, and equipment used in metal fabricationProficiency in MMA 131 weldingBasic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accuratelyAbility to assemble fabricated parts into finished productsExperience in 2G Flat / 3G Vertical / 4F Overhead welding is required
