Proactive Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for our client in the Loughborough area for a number of skilled Welder / Fabricators.
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, demonstrating proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to work with different materials. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform stick welding and other welding techniques as required to fabricate components.
- Assemble metal parts and structures according to specifications and engineering drawings.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
- Fabricate sheet metal components, ensuring precision and quality in all work.
- Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge in troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding, particularly stick welding, with a strong understanding of various welding techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment associated with fabrication processes.
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to fabricate components from sheet metal with precision.
- Basic maths skills are required for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship in all tasks performed.
- A commitment to maintaining safety standards within the workplace.

Mon - Friday only, 0730 - 1630 Mon - Thursday 0730 - 1230 Friday.
