Electrical bias maintenance engineer - permanant position - 2 shift rotation - £43,000 - £45,000

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems within our facilities, troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment, and performing regular preventive maintenance. You will collaborate closely with the maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance & Repair:

    • Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems, including motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, and control systems.
    • Diagnose faults and carry out corrective actions on electrical machinery and equipment.
    • Respond quickly to breakdowns and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Preventive Maintenance: 

    • Install, test, and commission new electrical systems, equipment, and components.
    • Upgrade existing electrical infrastructure to meet evolving operational requirements.
    •  Ensure all electrical equipment operates at peak efficiency and in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Safety & Compliance:

    • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
    • Conduct risk assessments and maintain a safe working environment.
    • Keep up to date with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration & Support:

    • Work closely with other departments, such as mechanical and production teams, to ensure seamless operation of all plant machinery.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians or apprentices when needed.
  • Qualifications & Requirements:

    • A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Maintenance, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    • 3+ years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
    • Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation is a plus.
  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
    • Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools and equipment.
    • Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems.
  • Additional:

    • Flexibility to work shifts or be on-call for emergency maintenance.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environments. 
  • Shifts: 

Monday-Friday 05:30-14:30 (Early Shift)

Monday-Wednesday 14:30-23:30  Thursday- 14;30-22:30  Friday -Rest Day Saturday- 06:00-16:00 (Late shift)
