Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our client's Conveyancing team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in conveyancing, offering vital support to solicitors and ensuring a seamless experience for clients. You will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks, including document preparation, client communication, and file management, all within a busy and dynamic legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist solicitors with the conveyancing process from initial instruction to completion.
- Prepare and manage legal documents, including contracts, leases, and transfer deeds.
- Maintain and organise case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, and other third parties regarding conveyancing matters.
- Conduct property searches and assist in the preparation of reports.
- Manage appointments and schedules for the conveyancing team.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and phone calls.
- Perform administrative tasks such as billing, filing, and data entry.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices within conveyancing.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably within a conveyancing environment.
- Strong understanding of the conveyancing process and relevant legal terminology.
- Proficient in using legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
