Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our client's Conveyancing team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in conveyancing, offering vital support to solicitors and ensuring a seamless experience for clients. You will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks, including document preparation, client communication, and file management, all within a busy and dynamic legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist solicitors with the conveyancing process from initial instruction to completion.
  • Prepare and manage legal documents, including contracts, leases, and transfer deeds.
  • Maintain and organise case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, and other third parties regarding conveyancing matters.
  • Conduct property searches and assist in the preparation of reports.
  • Manage appointments and schedules for the conveyancing team.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and phone calls.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as billing, filing, and data entry.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices within conveyancing.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably within a conveyancing environment.
  • Strong understanding of the conveyancing process and relevant legal terminology.
  • Proficient in using legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused approach.
