The role is for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a salary range of £28,000 to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
The position is permanent and based in Essex, working with a company that designs and manufactures fabricated products.
Candidates should ideally have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Aided Design, and proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software is preferred.
Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred, though graduates or those with a few years of experience will be considered.
Excellent communication skills and a full UK driving licence are essential for this role.

Role- Mechanical Design Engineer Salary- £28,000- £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience, please advise)Type- PermanentLocation- EssexMy client design and manufacture a range of fabricated products and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Engineer to develop as part of their team, on a permanent basis, in the Essex area.The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

Degree qualification or similar in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Aided Design
Be proficient with using ideally SolidWorks CAD software ideally
Any 2D CAD knowledge would also be ideal
Previous manufacturing industry experience preferred - they will consider Graduate's or those with a few years' experience
Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Full UK Driving Licence is essential

The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

Working within the existing engineering team
Producing solid models and drawings using SolidWorks CAD software
Creating the necessary documentation for the designs including BOM’s
Carrying out engineering calculations when required
Liaising with other colleagues
Offering technical assistance when needed to customers and suppliers
