We are seeking to recruit an outstanding teacher into a very successful and high performing department.

We are looking for someone who will:

• be an enthusiastic, inspiring and creative teacher

• have excellent subject knowledge

• be able to commit and contribute to the continuing success of the department and the school

• be able to, effectively and confidently, teach KS3-KS4 with KS5 being desirable

The school has an excellent programme of support for all new staff and is committed to professional development. We actively encourage teachers to explore innovative approaches to teaching and learning.

General - the following duties shall be deemed to be included as part of professional duties:

• to implement the school’s agreed policies

• to maintain effective discipline through implementation of the school's agreed procedures

• to carry out a share of supervisory duties in accordance with published rosters

• to plan and prepare lessons

• to teach, according to their educational needs, the students assigned to him/her, including the setting and marking of work

• to assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of students, including records on student attendance at lessons together with class and homework set and undertaken

• to carry out the role of form tutor as required

• to participate in meetings arranged for any of the purposes above

Curriculum: Key Stage 4 & 5 : Edexcel GCSE and A level

Education and Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent

• Qualified teacher status
