Full-Time Learning Support Assistant – Immediate StartWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Learning Support Assistant to support students aged 16-19 in a college environment. This role requires experience in SEN (Special Educational Needs) learning support, specifically within a college setting, and the ability to provide personal care where necessary.Job Details:
  • Location: Loughton
  • Salary: £15 per hour
  • Hours: Full-time
  • Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing support to students aged 16-19 with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Assisting students with their academic tasks, ensuring they can engage with lessons and materials
  • Supporting students with personal care needs where appropriate
  • Working closely with teaching staff to implement individual learning plans (ILPs) and provide tailored support
  • Promoting students' independence and development through proactive encouragement and guidance
  • Supporting in class and during activities to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment
Essential Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a learning support or SEN role, ideally within a college or similar educational setting
  • Experience in providing personal care to students, where required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
  • A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A commitment to student welfare and creating an inclusive learning environment
