Our Client Coveris, is a leading European packaging Group that manufactures paper and plastic based flexible sustainable packaging solutions for some of the world's most respected brands. They operate from 30 sites in the EMEA region with over 4500 employees.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the Group as Operations Director in a strategic leadership role for two sites with a combined turnover of c£60m p.a. The Louth site, which operates 24/7, converts (blown film extrusion) and prints (flexographic) PE & LLDPE collation films and OPP wrap-around labels for blue chip beverage, frozen food, fresh produce and industrial customers. The Hartlepool site manufactures a range of tamper evident speciality bags and document pouches for high security markets as well as a broad range of mailing, E-commerce and produce bags.
Reporting to the Managing Director, and as a key contributor to business strategy, you will deliver maximum efficiency and optimise performance across manufacturing, supply chain and logistics, and drive operational excellence to support future profitable business growth. You will provide clear leadership and vision, inspiring, coaching and mentoring the operations teams to exceed challenging targets. Customer focused, you will encourage innovation and creativity, ensuring excellent levels of customer service and product quality, whilst developing strong stakeholder relationships internally and externally.
Ideally Degree qualified and/or with higher professional qualifications, you will demonstrate senior level operational management success in a high volume, progressive and complex manufacturing environment, ideally multi-site, with a proven talent for delivering tangible and impressive results through operational excellence.
Capable of delivering effective change management, you will demonstrate agility, energy and enthusiasm achieving success through inspiring teams to engage and contribute.
