Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant
Role:
- You will accurately oversee the companys financial transactions, develop budgets/forecasts, prepare financial reports, and monitor all transactions.
- A team player, positive with a can-do attitude. You will be able to articulate financial data to a varied audience.
- You will be able to work on your own initiative, provide feedback, solutions to issue and write financial protocols and procedures.
- Your duties will include resolving financial disputes, supporting executives, preparing balance sheets, and processing invoices.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate transaction records
- Review/Approve/Process invoices/timesheets and prepare financial statements
- Reconcile banking and conduct financial audits
- Prepare budgets
- Review the businesss financial policies
- Ensure all legal requirements are met
- Payroll production
- To be a point of contact for various stakeholders such as suppliers/accountants/employees
- To file for the accountants, such as, tax returns, companies house, HMRC and end of year financial reports
- To complete any adhoc duties required as requested by the senior management team
- Experience with software such as Xero or Sage, training will be provided for their operational systems
- Maths and problem-solving skills
- Project management skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Good knowledge of accounting and financial procedures
- Knowledge of financial regulations and laws
- Proven work experience as an Accounts or Finance Assistant.
- BSc or AAT Level 2
- Professional qualification as a CFA/CPA highly desirable but not essential
