The School and Role
An Alternative Provision school based in New Milton are currently seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to start as soon as possible. The school caters for secondary aged pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as challenging behaviour. Â
The successful SEMH Support Assistant will be required to work 1-1 or in small classes, assisting pupils academically as well as overcoming barriers to learning and supporting them emotionally.
RequirementsÂ
The desired Teaching Assistant will have;
- Experience of working with secondary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND/SEMH/challenging behaviour
- A passion for the progress of pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
