gap healthcare is currently recruiting for a new and exciting opportunity on behalf of our client based in Oxfordshire working out of Banbury for a experienced Service Manager.

Our client provides support in residential care, supported living, and domiciliary care for individuals with learning disabilities.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Service Manager you will support adults with learning disabilities, ensuring they live their best possible lives. You'll be a role model, demonstrating excellent support and helping Regional Service Managers coach, support, and manage staff teams effectively. Your responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Regional Service Manager in the day-to-day running of the service.
  • Managing team performance, ensuring care and support promote dignity, wellbeing, independence, and a person-centred approach.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the highest standards of clinical and personal support.
  • Promoting and leading good practice, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of the people we support.
  • Working flexibly, including shifts on a rota basis, covering nights, weekends, and Bank Holidays.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting adults with complex learning disabilities.
  • Good IT skills and experience in maintaining records.
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or equivalent), or the ability to achieve this within 18 months of appointment.
  • Detailed knowledge of Health and Safety issues and Safeguarding regulations.
  • Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
