Qualifications and Experience:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• Experience teaching Year 6 with a proven track record of supporting students to achieve their best
• Strong knowledge of Upper Key Stage 2 pedagogy and child development
• Experience supporting students from diverse backgrounds and with varying abilities
• Dedication, resilience, and passion for making a positive impact on students’ educational journeys
• Outstanding organisational and time management skills, ensuring a well-structured and efficient educational environment
• Commitment to inclusive education, with experience supporting students with SEND being an asset

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons aligned with Year 6 learning targets and national curriculum requirements
• Conduct precise assessments of pupils, providing feedback in line with school policies and external requirements
• Collaborate with colleagues on shared planning (with pay to scale) to ensure consistency and progression across the year group
• Utilise diverse and stimulating teaching methods to cater to the needs of all learners
• Manage challenging behaviour effectively, establishing appropriate boundaries and fostering a positive learning environment
• Inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their highest potential, preparing them for the transition to secondary school
• Promote good practices in punctuality, work standards, and home learning among pupils
