Sales Executive Required:
Our East Anglia based client seeks an experienced Sales Executive with the following skills and experience
Our clients diverse client base includes established market players and innovative new entrants across the entire value chain within the renewable Energy sector.
Our client offers high-quality subscriptions, including quarterly reports, databases, webinars, online tools, and customer support.
Purpose of the job
To sell Offshores goods and services to potential and actual customers, including businesses, governmental organisations, and trade bodies, both in the UK and abroad. The role involves approaching potential customers to win new business and maintaining good relationships with clients to obtain repeat sales. Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration.
Required Skills and experience:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher).
- Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Previous experience in a sales role is a plus but not required.
- Eagerness to learn and develop within the role.
Responsibilities
- Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers.
- Make telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
- Research sources for developing prospective customers and gather information to determine their potential.
- Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
- Coordinate sales efforts with sales management and technical service groups.
- Keep abreast of company and competitor product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through reading pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
- Participate in trade shows and other events as required.
- Respond to incoming email and phone enquiries quickly and efficiently.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails.
- Cold call to prospect for new business.
- Act as a contact between the company and its existing and potential markets.
- Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales.
- Gather market and customer information.
- Represent our client at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations as required.
- Negotiate on price, costs, delivery, and specifications with buyers and managers.
- Manage objections with a view to getting the customer to buy.
- Advise on forthcoming product developments and discuss special promotions.
- Create detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process dictated by the prospective customer.
- Record sales and order information and send copies to the sales office or enter figures into a computer system.
- Review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
