The purpose of the role is to ensure the implementation of the Project HSE Management Plan throughout the project life cycle, maintaining compliance and approval to OHSAS 18001. You will liaise with the Consortium Management Team and report to Project Director and the Client.

Duties include:
Â
- Liaison with the client’s HSE management team.
- Development of HSE risk management plans.
- Ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with HSE requirements.
- Act as HSE Lead at meetings.
- Promote excellent HSE practices throughout all project activities.
- Develop effective Risk Assessment management strategies.
- Develop health and safety policies, procedures and guidance.
- Planning and implementation of HSE audits
- Ensure that a safety culture is encouraged at the project sites.
- Manage the Investigation of all accidents and near-misses.
- Undertake project site safety inspections.
Candidate specification:

You will hold a minimum of an HNC in an appropriate discipline and be qualified in/have detailed experience of ISO 9001, 14001 & OHSAS18001 Management Systems. You'll also hold a NEBOSH diploma or equivalent and be a member of IOSH.
Â
You must have extensive experience in an HSE Management role in the offshore wind industry, ideally on offshore HVDC substation projects. There will be travel to project and manufacturing sites across the UK, Europe and Asia so you must be prepared to travel.

This is a long-term contract role, expected to last for a minimum of 6 months.
