Our client Scottish Power Renewables are looking for a Consent Compliance Manager to join their team in Lowestoft on a hybrid basis (minimum 2 days a week at the office). It is an inside IR35 contract role approved for 12 months initially paying competitive rates. You will have a key role within the Offshore Development Team leading the delivery of consents and consent compliance for large-scale offshore wind projects in the UK. Working for the EA THREE Offshore Project Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the delivery of Offshore Consent Compliance for the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarms and Offshore Transmission Owner (OFTO) grid connection works during the construction phase. The role encompasses all aspects of offshore consent compliance involving auditing contractors’ activities in accordance with approved management plans, obtaining further consents, managing package consent commitments, auditing project compliance, liaison with the Construction team and the Marine Coordination Centre, as well as assisting with statutory stakeholder engagement. The position will be part of a multi-disciplinary project team and will be the direct interface for liaison with the Project’s Construction team and Marine Coordinators. You will be working as part of a global business based in the UK. The position may require travel to various site locations, however the primary work location is the Construction Management and Marshalling Port (CMMP), Lowestoft. Lead onsite/ offshore consent compliance audits • Liaison and coordination with engineering packages, consultants and contractors delivering the construction of the project • Contribution to the identification and management of risks, issues and impacts to the project • Work with Construction Teams and Marine Coordinators to provide onsite consenting advice and identify risks and opportunities • Work with Consent Compliance Team to aid consultation with regulators and key stakeholders required for consent compliance where necessary • Work with other internal departments e.g., Stakeholder, Environment and Health and Safety teams • Work with the wider offshore development team to ensure effective liaison with National Government and regulatory authorities Internal Use • Lead and participate in the identification and implementation of consenting / compliance strategies • Ensure high levels of quality control throughout process and • Ensure that the projects maintain high levels of health and safety standards. Skills • Relevant development experience within a multi-disciplinary project environment • • Relevant experience in development/ construction of offshore windfarms and offshore grid connection works • • Understanding of the UK Consenting processes for Offshore Windfarms, particularly the regulatory framework, the consent compliance process and awareness of construction methods and requirements • • Strong planning and analysis skills with the ability to look forward and anticipate problems and thereafter plan and implement mitigating solutions Excellent interpersonal skills • • Excellent report writing and presentation skills • • Excellent personal organisation and time management skills • • High degree of self-motivation with a flexible approach to work • • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and • • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications as a minimum. Essential Requirements • Degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Management, Planning, Environmental Assessment or Environmental Engineering • Relevant professional qualification • Extensive relevant experience • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) • IT literate with the ability to operate MS Office systems and other IT based project management software • Flexible to travel to locations as required to perform the role and • Valid GWO and offshore medical certificates.
