Cover teacher

• Location: Lowestoft, UK
• Contract: Temporary (potential for permanent placement)
• Start Date: September 2024

We are seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor with a strong classroom presence to join our secondary school in Lowestoft. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about education and ready to make a difference in the classroom.

• Supervise classes in the absence of regular teachers, ensuring continuity of education.
• Maintain a positive and conducive learning environment for all students.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting respect and engagement.
• Provide support to students with their work as set by the regular teacher.
• Ensure that any completed work is collected at the end of the lesson and passed on to the regular teacher.

• Previous experience in UK schools is essential.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not required, but beneficial.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage students across Key Stage 3 (KS3) to Key Stage 5 (KS5).
• Comfortable teaching a variety of subjects and adapting to different learning needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
