We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher for a long-term position at a well-regarded school starting in February 2025. The duration of the role is yet to be determined, as the school will assess the ongoing needs of the department.

The Role of an English Teacher:As an English Teacher, you will inspire and engage students with your creative and engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4. You will play a key part in fostering a love of literature and language, helping students to develop critical thinking and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities of an English Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Contribute to the development of the English curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Support students’ individual needs and provide tailored intervention when necessary.

The Ideal English Teacher Will:

  • Have a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Have a passion for teaching English and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.
  • Be able to differentiate lessons to cater to various abilities.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Previous experience teaching English in secondary schools is desirable.
