Packaging Technologist

Are you passionate about packaging and product development? We are looking for a Packaging & Product Technical Specialist to join the clients Market Technical Team. This role focuses on supporting the development and introduction of new packaging and processes across the factory while providing essential technical support to the commercial teams regarding products, packaging, processes, and technologies. This is what you'll be doing:

  • Lead packaging development projects from concept to industrialisation within multidisciplinary teams, focusing on line performance, cost-efficiency, timely delivery, and product quality.
  • Support our ambitions as set out in the sustainability roadmap.
  • Conduct and document product trials to ensure successful implementation.
  • Optimise and improve existing products and processes within our factory.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to understand the end-to-end impact of our materials and palletized products concerning sustainability.
  • Assist Packaging Head Office and Procurement in the selection, assessment, and development of new suppliers and converters.
  • Implement packaging-related quality and compliance directives.
  • Drive quality improvements in packaging.
  • Participate in or lead packaging supplier audits.
  • Facilitate the transfer of technology and know-how to the factory.
  • Serve as the knowledge owner for your area of expertise.
  • Manage all other factory-specific packaging administration tasks.

  • Great communication skills.
