Our accountancy firm client in Ludlow is looking to recruit an ambitious Audit Semi Senior Accountant to join their external audit team.

Working alongside the Audit Senior Accountants, the successful Audit Semi Senior will be exposed to a diverse client base, across a wide array of sectors and business entities including academies, SMEs, and complex corporate groups.

Experience of working within external audit within public practice is essential for this job.

Job Purpose
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients acting in a pivotal role beneath the audit manager.
  • Run audits from planning to completion, championing quality and compliance.
  • Preparation of accounts and tax computations within audit engagements.
  • Work closely with the audit lead during site visits.
  • Build strong rapport with clients, proactively handling queries and problem solving.
  • Delivering a strong understanding of risk management during audits, with a critical eye to ensure accuracy.
  • Keep up to date with audit regulations and emerging trends that could impact the audit function.
  • Manage your own workload, ensuring expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met.
  • Champion your own professional development, undertaking training opportunities.
