Environmental Compliance Manager

Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a leading expert in anaerobic digestion to recruit an Environmental Compliance Manager predominately based in Ludlow, Shropshire. The aim of the role is to develop and maintain the environmental management systems.

The Environmental Compliance Manager comes with a salary up to 40,000 company benefits and excellent training and development.

Responsibilities and duties

As the Environmental Compliance Manager you will:

• Create, implement, and upkeep the company environmental management system, in line with ISO 14001.
• Work with clients to support them with ongoing environmental permits.
• Support clients with HSE obligations.
• Liaise with regulators for clients.
• Conduct impact assessments and suggest improvements to working practises.
• To be proactive in the prevention of environmental incidents and conduct investigations as and when required.
• To help assess suppliers and subcontractors.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Environmental qualification to degree level or above
• Excellent understanding of anaerobic digestion and biogas
• Full UK driving license
• Membership to IEMA (desirable)
• Environmental auditor qualification (desirable)

Personal skills

The Maintenance Supervisor would suit someone who is:

• Self-motivated
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• High level of attention to detail

Salary and benefits of the Maintenance Supervisor role

• Salary between 35,000-40,000
• Pool van
• Private healthcare(after 6 months)
• Bonus
