REGISTERED VETERINARY SURGEON

An independent, progressive small animal practice is seeking a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. The practice is RCVS General Practice accredited and operates across two sites located in picturesque Shropshire and Worcestershire. The main branch is in a historic medieval market town, with the second branch in a busy market town at the edge of Worcestershire.

The team at this practice is committed to providing compassionate, high standards of care and tailored veterinary medicine. You’ll be joining a supportive and experienced team of vets, led by a young and forward-thinking partnership. The practice also benefits from regular visits by orthopaedic and cardiology certificate holders, further expanding the range of services provided. Special interests and continued professional development are actively encouraged.

Support staff include dedicated RVNs, ANAs, receptionists, office staff, and a veterinary physiotherapist. The practice is proud to hold silver status for being cat and rabbit-friendly and is also a registered chicken-friendly practice.

The team is currently expanding both in size and facilities and are proud to remain one of the last independent veterinary practices in the area. They are looking for someone who shares their ethos of compassionate, high-quality medicine and who will actively contribute to the future growth of the practice.

Role details:

  • 4-day working week with regular surgery time
  • Sensible shared weekend and out-of-hours rota (approximately 1 in 6)
  • 5 weeks holiday, Professional and Simply Health memberships, and a generous CPD allowance
  • Mentoring and guidance available, with a GDP advisor and experience in coaching new graduates
  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience

This opportunity offers the chance to work in a supportive environment while enjoying a high quality of life in a beautiful location.
