SF Recruitment have exclusively partnered with a manufacturing business who are looking for an experienced HR Manager. You will be joining an established business who invest in their workforce.

The successful candidate will have worked within a unionised manufacturing business previously and have experience of running monthly and weekly payroll.

Salary: up to £45,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week (08:30 - 17:00) Monday to Friday. This is a site based role

You will be required to travel across their 2 sites to provide HR support.

- Responsible for ensuring compliance of UK HR policies and procedures, assists in updating or interpreting company policies.
- Leading the recruitment process, including selection and interviewing of candidates for the UK companies
- Collaborating with other managers in the business to ensure the smooth running of the company from a people strategy perspective.
- Partnering with senior operational staff including the HR director, to establish and roll-out people-related strategy.
- Orientates new hires and perform necessary follow-up for new employees during the probationary period.
- Manage any disciplinary and grievances to a satisfactory resolution.
- Manage the weekly and monthly payrolls for McConnel and provide cover for other payrolls as required.
- Overseeing attendance and absence monitoring driving improvements to absence rates.
- Manage the activities within Training & Development, identifying training needs and developing plans.
- Managing talent pools and succession plans.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Degree in Human Resource Management or CIPD qualification.
- Progressive experience in HR related function required within a manufacturing unionized environment.
- Competent understanding of HR systems and Payroll systems
