Company Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the Severn Trent Water framework, overseeing key water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the region. The Role:
As Site Agent, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will oversee the site management team and subcontractors, coordinating activities to ensure high-quality construction delivery in line with client expectations and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all on-site activities across water and wastewater projects.
- Lead and coordinate site teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Monitor site progress, report on project milestones, and ensure timely delivery.
- Manage budgets and resources efficiently, minimizing costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, ensuring that all work meets client requirements and industry regulations.
- Liaise with the client (Severn Trent Water), project managers, and other key stakeholders.
- Address any on-site challenges or issues, ensuring the smooth running of the project.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Experience within a site management or site agent role, ideally within the water or infrastructure sectors.
- Qualifications: Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. SMSTS and CSCS qualifications are essential.
- Water Sector Expertise: Previous experience in managing water and wastewater projects, including pipelines, treatment plants, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage site teams, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Health & Safety: Strong understanding of HSE regulations and a proven track record of ensuring compliance on site.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
