Position Summary:

We are currently looking for an experienced DI Field Service Engineer to join our team. This role involves delivering comprehensive maintenance and repair services for Diagnostic Imaging (DI) equipment across various multi-vendor systems. You will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability of our systems, resolving technical issues, and providing expert support to customers within your region, with occasional travel throughout the UK.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Carry out maintenance and servicing of DI equipment, adhering to our company’s rigorous standards.
  • Provide remote support and on-site visits to assist customers with any issues that arise.
  • Ensure timely completion of all required administrative tasks and documentation.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers, offering consistent updates on service activities.
  • Work closely with our customer service and management teams to maintain high standards of service quality.
  • Occasionally assist with engineering support for other types of medical equipment.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and internal company policies.

 

Key Duties:

  • Diagnose and repair system faults to maintain high standards of uptime and efficiency.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance in line with the scheduled plans.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure swift issue resolution.
  • Keep precise records and manage essential inventory levels.
  • Ensure all contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are consistently met.
  • Participate in training to continuously enhance your technical skills.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • HNC/D in Electronics or a related field (Required).
  • Degree (Hons) in Electronics or a related field (Preferred).
  • Formal technical training from a relevant manufacturer (Preferred).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a healthcare environment (Required).
  • Demonstrated experience in repairing and calibrating DI equipment (Required).
  • Knowledge of national and local regulatory standards (Preferred).
  • Experience in clinical settings with direct patient interaction (Preferred).

 

Skills:

  • Strong focus on customer service and maintaining high quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and basic networking.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems under pressure, minimizing risk.
  • Willingness to work with different types of medical equipment and OEMs.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
