Cost Accountant

Our client, a manufacturing business based bear Luton are recruiting for a Cost Accountant for a 6 month contract (potential to go perm). The client is looking for someone with previous cost accounting experience and ideally management accounting for a manufacturing business. You need to be available to start in the next month and commit to a minimum contract of 6 months. Strong analytical skills and good communication skills are required as well as experience with financial planning tools and ERP systems.

Key duties will include:

Set up the costing process for the new ERP system
Management accounting
Set up cost allocation methods for departments
Monitor KPIs related to costs
Identify areas of inefficiency and suggest solutions and cost cutting measures
Financial reporting
Ensure compliance in line with GAAP/IFRS
Design cost analysis models, budgets, and financial reports
Communicate complex cost information to stakeholders.
Provide support to senior management by presenting cost trends
