We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Administration Assistant to join our team on a maternity cover basis. This role will provide crucial operational, organisational, and administrative support to the school, ensuring high standards of efficiency and customer service for students, staff, parents, governors, visitors, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a handover period with the current postholder to ensure a smooth transition.
Key Responsibilities:Communications-
Produce timely and accurate communication for parents, staff, and students.

Coordinate students/staff for whole-school activities and events.

Assist with the production of school publications, bulletins, newsletters, and other media.

Respond proactively to parent and student enquiries, aiming to resolve queries efficiently.

Manage and update the student database (MIS).

Coordinate daily detention requirements.

Assist with the preparation and administration of student reports.

Administer admissions arrangements, liaising with schools, parents, staff, and students.

Support transition events.

Assist with exclusion administration and arrangements.

Undertake general clerical duties such as word processing, filing, photocopying, and emailing.

Manage post, stationery, label creation, and student record archiving.

Provide regular cover on reception.

Support the Attendance and Medical Team as required.

Carry out ad hoc administrative tasks in line with school requirements.

Excellent organisational and administrative skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Proficiency in IT systems and software (including Microsoft Office and MIS platforms).

Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable.
