Based in Luton this privately owned Engineering Construction company (20m turnover) are seeking to employ a Structural Design Manager on a permanent basis. As a business they focus on geotechnical and structural engineering and products supporting housing developments across London and the South East.
They are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to manage the design of the projects, liaising with the sub-contractors, design consultants and internal clients to deliver the projects on time and to budget. This is not a design focused role, this is a Project management / liaison role for someone coming from a Structural Engineering background.
The role will require you to manage the design and co-ordination of the engineering works, making recommendations to clients, consultancies and contractors whilst ensuring they are delivered upon through the process. This is a cradle to grave role with large elements of self-autonomy whilst working within a supportive and developing team. There will be an opportunity to on occasion develop geo-technical designs with the in house design team approaching it from the position of a structural engineer.
This role will suit a Structural engineer who has experience or working on, and managing, a range of structural projects in the UK and wishes to move away from the day to day technical design aspects of consultancy work.
This is a great opportunity to leave the consultancy environment and join the main contractor environment and all the benefits that brings with it.
