Accounts Administrator
  • Job Type: Full-time, Purely office based. 9- 5pm with 30 mins lunch break (Could potentially do part time/flexi hours if needed)

My client is seeking a dedicated Accounts Administrator to maintain their purchase ledger and general accounting functions. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of their financial processes.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Complete new supplier account applications and set up new suppliers on operations.
  • Collate, check, and process purchase invoices, and communicate with suppliers regarding any queries.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and maintain the purchase order register.
  • Prepare payments in agreement with creditor’s report figures and maintain petty cash book.
  • Engage in credit control and prepare monthly schedules of cost of sales for parts sales.
  • Obtain freight quotations, make bookings, and prepare pro-forma invoices for part sales.
  • Open and distribute post and faxes, and handle preparation of clock cards and distribution of payslips each Monday.
  • Maintain supplier returns schedule and a non-conformities schedule.
  • Perform banking at the local branch, and support the team by answering the telephone, filing, photocopying, and assisting as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in an accounts administration role.
  • Basic knowledge using Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain clear and accurate financial records.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
