Based in Luton, Bedfordshire our client is a leader in their field looking for a Sales and Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their growing team on permanent basis, based 5 days onsite per week.
This job would suit someone with at least a years' experience in a purchaser ledger/ sales ledger position, as well as credit control experience. They will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the business, ensuring that all purchasing transactions are accurately recorded and processed, with great exposure to learn and develop.

The successful individual will have excellent attention to detail with an ability to reconcile complex accounts. They will be competent in MS Office, especially Excel. Excellent communication skills, both personally and over the phone, is an essential.
Job responsibilities:
- Assess and manage credit requests, customer credit ratings, and overdue accounts.
- Maintain customer and supplier accounts, including ledger updates, new account setups, and query resolution.
- Process invoices, receipts, payments, and banking transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare reports, statements, and aged debt analyses.
- Perform month-end reconciliations and close purchase ledgers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve queries and support sales transactions.
- Ensure compliance with supplier payment processes and maintain up-to-date records.
