Ground Operations Supervisor

Adecco are proud to be partnered with one of Europe's leading airlines, to recruit for motivated and enthusiastic people to join their Ground Operations team here in Luton Airport.

As a Ground Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safety, efficiency and quality in airline ground operations. The GO supervisors work proactively and collaboratively with all stakeholders to help identify areas for improvement, reduce risks and ensure our clients ground operations meet industry standards, safety regulations and internal policies.

The details:

· Pay rate of £12.45 p/h

· 35-40 hours a week, including some weekend shifts.

· Rota will require shifts starting as early as 0430 and finishing as late as midnight.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all operations areas on-site (passenger handling, ramp handling, load control, etc.)
  • Oversee performance of certain flights, assisting in reaching the desired quality of handling, follow up and recoding of registered delays.
  • Conduct audits of Ground Handling companies and other service providers of our client to assess compliance with airline policies, industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Quality assurance - Evaluating quality of services, such as baggage handling and passenger assistance
  • Safety Checks - ensuring ground operations adhere to safety protocols, including proper handling of aircraft equipment and hazardous materials.
  • Proactively identifying and recommending areas of improvement in ground operations efficiency
  • Regulatory updates - Supervisor shall stay informed about changes in aviation regulations and ensuring that ground operations remain in compliance
  • Customer experience - Supervisor evaluating ground services from a passenger perspective, focusing on areas that can enhance the overall customer experience

Requirements

  • Excellent command of English
  • Excellent and effective communications skills
  • Flexible, proactive approach and ability to remain diplomatic when dealing with all stakeholders
  • Ability to write reports in a clear, concise, consistent and factual manner
