Maintenance Surveyor

We are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Surveyor to join a large housing association on a temporary basis. The role involves handling legal disrepairs, damp and mould issues, and general domestic surveying across various locations in Hertfordshire.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Conduct thorough inspections and surveys of properties to assess repair needs, particularly focusing on legal disrepairs, damp, and mould.
  • Prepare detailed reports and specifications for maintenance works required.
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure repair works are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and manage the progress of works, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Provide expert advice and support to residents regarding maintenance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of surveys, works completed, and resident interactions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Surveyor, particularly within the domestic sector.
  • Knowledge of legal disrepair cases and how to effectively handle them.
  • Strong understanding of damp and mould issues and remediation techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and travel across the specified locations.
  • Relevant qualifications in surveying or a related field are desirable.
