Role Overview
Myn is looking for a skilled Carpenter to join our clients team and contribute to a variety of projects, from domestic properties to schools and industrial units. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your carpentry skills while gaining exposure to multi-trade refurbishments.


Key Responsibilities
  • Carpentry & Multi-Trade Work: Carry out carpentry repairs, UPVC repairs, and multi-trade tasks across various sectors, including kitchen and bathroom installations, floor laying, and tiling.
  • Project Planning: Self-diagnose repairs, plan workloads, and ensure work is completed within contract conditions, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Material Management: Take accurate measurements, create material lists, and ensure stocks are replenished according to procedures.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all Health & Safety legislation and keep work areas clean, tidy, and secure.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that work meets contract quality standards and take corrective action when necessary.


Skills and Experience
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience working with Schedules of Rates and specifications, including working from drawings.
  • Carpentry Qualifications: Advanced carpentry apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Basic apprenticeship with NVQ Level 2/City & Guilds or similar qualification is also acceptable.
  • Self-Starter: Able to plan and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving: Able to assess and resolve on-site issues, including fault diagnosis and material requirements.
  • Physical Requirements: Able to carry and climb ladders to access lofts, roofs, and other inspection areas.
  • Communication Skills: Able to converse with the public and offer helpful advice in fluent, clear English.
