Our client, a UK-leading independent non-ferrous metal stockholder, is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving business growth for a company renowned for its quality products and exceptional service.

The Role:As a Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of a designated geographical area, spending 4 days a week out on the road and 1 day working from the office or home. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, re-engaging lapsed accounts, and identifying new business opportunities within the non-ferrous metal market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met with a high standard of service.
  • Actively seek out new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
  • Re-engage lapsed clients, understanding their previous challenges and offering solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Attend client meetings, delivering compelling presentations and solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer service and order fulfilment.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the company’s overall growth.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within the non-ferrous metal industry (essential).
  • A results-driven mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • A proactive and organized approach to managing a diverse customer portfolio.
  • A valid driving license and the ability to travel across your assigned territory.
