Description
Credit Controller:
- Handle all credit control functions and manage the collection of outstanding debts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure smooth running of accounts and encourage timely payments.
- Manage and resolve customer queries related to payments and invoices.
- Monitor debtor balances to ensure reduction in debtors DSO.
- Ensure credit and collection policies and procedures are followed within your team.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc forecasting reports.
- Work together with the finance department to maintain accurate records and assist in account reconciliation.
- Contribute to the safeguarding of the company's receivables by implementing and maintaining sound credit management practices.
Profile
A successful Credit Controller should have:
- A solid background in credit control within a retail environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
- A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A professional qualification in accounting or finance is preferred but not essential.
