Maintenance Assistant needed for immediate start

A position has arisen for a temporary Maintenance Assistant placed within a highly reputable organisation situated in Luton. This role takes responsibility for all maintenance support for a contract length of 6 months with the possibility of turning permanent.
Your duties will include:
- Dealing with front line minor maintenance and repairs that include, unblocking of toilets, changing light bulbs, installing dispensers, mounting frames and boards and general repairs required with the use of basic tools and equipment
- Distributing large volumes of deliveries of goods and items to faculties and departments in a timely manner
- Respond to building incidents i.e., water leaks and taking appropriate first response action that may include cordoning off areas with you use of barriers and appropriate signage put in place to make others aware and report accordingly
- Clearing of snow and ice in adverse weather conditions to make pathways and fire evacuation points safe for all building users
- Ensure all documents are organised in an effective manner within the department
- Ensure excellent customer service at all times
The successful candidate should have:
- You must have previous experience working in similar role
- You must be able to start immediately or at short notice
- Please note a full UK driving license is required
