We are looking for a compassionate Psychology and Criminology graduate keen to become a PMLD Teaching Assistant and join a dedicated team in Luton. As a full-time, permanent member of the team, you will support students with profound and multiple learning disabilities, enabling them to achieve their full potential in an inclusive and supportive environment. If you're eager to apply your psychology or criminology background in a rewarding, hands-on setting, this is the role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide both academic and emotional support to students with SEN/PMLD.
  • Assist in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work with students individually or in small groups to support their learning.
  • Collaborate with SENCOs and specialists to implement tailored learning plans.
  • Help prepare educational resources and materials.
  • Provide support during lessons, break times, and extracurricular activities.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A passion for working with students with special educational needs.
  • An adaptable and flexible approach to meet diverse student needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A background in psychology, criminology, or relevant experience supporting children with SEN (preferred but not essential).
